A Jump Above Horse Show Rules

Entries & Ride Times

Entires for all shows will open 4 weeks prior to the shows. ENTRIES WILL CLOSE at 7 pm TWO days prior to the show or at the time the show is full. Entries for classes or the entire show may close before the specified closing date as the show reaches capacity. 


Based on entries, time windows for each division will be posted and emailed by 5:00pm on the day prior to the show. Please plan on arriving in time to pick up your numbers and be prepared to ride during your level's window to help keep the show running on time. On the day of the show, updates will be posted to the A Jump Above Facebook page. Late entries accepted at the organizers discretion with an additional fee.


Please be prepared to ride within your time window. If riding multiple horses in the same division, please be the first in the ring and communicate with your gate steward.  We will not be able to hold the ring for late arrivals. 


If you have not checked in at the ingate by the last 20 minutes of your time window, we will move the class forward.  Help us continue to create a positive schooling experience for everyone.  We will work to keep the rings moving so that everyone can get in and out in an efficient manner. Adds will be at the discretion of the in gate steward. 

Safety

We strive to offer a fun and safe environment for people to practice show jumping in a show atmosphere.  We reserve the right to eliminate any competitor for unsafe riding and/or unsportsmanlike behavior. Riders with repeat offenses may be barred from competing at A Jump Above Horse Shows. Coaches displaying unsportsmanlike conduct may be asked to leave at the discretion of show organizers. Any rider who suffers a fall must be evaluated by the on site EMT and may be disallowed from further competition. 

Photo Policy

Topeka Custom Design & Photo is the Official Photographer for all A Jump Above Horse Shows


2026 Photo Policy: 

  • Visitors, spectators and exhibitors are permitted to take photographs and record video for personal use only.
  • Only our official appointed photographer is allowed to take competitor images and sell or distribute them to the public.
  • No other individual or company has permission to take images of multiple competitors and sell or distribute them to members of the public or publish online/on social media.


Failure to abide by the above rules may result in expulsion from the event for riders or affiliated persons.

Spectators & Competitors

This show is open to the public, and we welcome all to come school in Great Meadow Foundation's spectacular Fleming Farm Arenas. 


Restrooms are limited, with only one port-a-jon in the parking and one by the arena.


There is NO WATER near the trailer area or the arena for horses or people.  Please bring your own water in portable containers.


DOGS ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES.


Be prepared to walk from the trailer area to the arena - bring buckets or a bag to transport key items between the two locations.


You are expected to pick up, rake clean and take home all manure and hay from the trailer parking area. 

Non-Compete Horses

Noncompete horses are not allowed on the show grounds.  If you would like to bring a noncompete horse, please enter it in the poles class for $55, send in your paperwork and leave a note for the secretary that it is a noncompete.  If you are caught riding a horse that is not entered in the show, there will be a $150 fine.
